Product Description

This GPS variable gain, networked hanger re-radiating kit is designed to provide GPS to indoor spaces without obstruction for restricting and attenuating signal strength. An L1 GPS signal is received by the rooftop antenna and amplified, then distributed via the re-radiating antenna into inside spaces. This GPS re-radiating antenna kit consists of an active rooftop antenna, a passive re-radiating antenna, and a re-radiating amplifier with external power supply to power the entire system. In the standard networked configuration, the re-radiating amplifier output port (J1) is DC blocked while the antenna port receives the RF signal and passes voltage back through to the antenna.

This variable gain hanger re-radiating kit (EDMO# VG HNRRKIT) features a 5-volt network power option, 110-volt source power, and TNC connector.

This product is only to be used for testing GNSS equipment/systems for the purpose of product development or fabrication.

Per the latest FCC guidance, the following use cases are NOT allowed:

  • Any other usages which could be considered "maintenance". 

An FCC Experimental Broadcast license is required to operate this device, with the following exceptions:

  • Device is operated in a shielded environment, such as an anechoic chamber.
  • Device is operated in conjunction with a reradiating hood.
  • Device is operated by federal or DoD personnel with the approval of the local spectrum manager.
